If you really want people to update that badly, just make the changelog more prominent on app startup so people can see what their options are. It would be better to just give us the ability to fully opt out of updates and keep the app as is. I think it's safe to say that if someone is having issues with G-Hub functionality, one of the first things they'll probably do is update it. Whenever I read the patch notes it seems like the only changes are support for new games, as well as bug fixes that aren't relevant to the main functionality of the app. Most users don't seem to actually benefit from these updates, either. This is not a huge deal as I can just restart the computer and everything is fine, but I'd rather not have to deal with things like this when allowing us to fully disable updates seems like such an easy fix. I've also had issues with updates messing with USB drivers. This most recent update, I went to unlock my computer and couldn't type because an update had crashed my keyboard drivers while the computer was sleeping. Now whenever G-Hub updates it either causes a blue screen or breaks drivers. ![]() This has been fixed within the last month or so and the app updates properly now, but now a new issue is introduced. This meant that you'd have to fully reinstall and reprogram all keybinds, RGB, etc. It used to be that whenever G-Hub updated, it would totally brick the software and prevent it from properly starting. I'm unable to stop them from happening because even with automatic updates disabled, G-Hub still updates as long as the computer is in sleep mode. My issue isn't with the app itself but with the problems that arise after an update. I only use G-Hub for a G703 and for everything mouse-related it works well. I doubt this will make a difference but might as well just relay my experience as I'm sure there are a lot of other people annoyed with G-Hub updates.ītw my system is running Windows 10 Pro version 21H1 Hi, just writing this post on the off chance that someone at logitech sees this and can pass it along. ![]()
